Hypothetical Game of Basketball

Who would win the following game of regulation rules basketball:

Lebron James and nine randomly chosen 6th graders, some of whom may be athletic and some who might not

versus

The authors of Where's Luke and Hobo Con Queso combined?

Us authors. There is no doubt that LeBron is exponentially better that any one of us. On offense we would triple team him and the remaining two could handle the 4 sixth graders. On defense he would not be able to cover all 5 of us.

Yeah. I agree with Daffy, although it would be close. The more I think about it, I don't know. I think it would be hard on defense to stop Lebron with even five of us.

Although, Daff has the most experience playing with sixth graders so I'm willing to defer to his judgment (HYHY).

The LeBron team would kill us. You guys are out of your mind. He would just rain jump shots from the perimeter all day.

I agree with Side Bar.

If it's winner's outs, once his team gets possession, LeBron scores every single point until the game is over.

If it's loser's outs, no way our team shoots close to 100%, but I bet LeBron does.

I guess it also matters what you do in terms of fouls -- if hacking the shit out of LeBron every time he gets the ball has no consequences other than his team having to check it up at the top of the key, we could win (if he doesn't go Latrell Sprewell on us first).

I don't think we'd win. Also take into account that one of the random 6th graders would be able to make a layup if we were, in fact, quintuple teaming LeBron.

Also LeBron's like 4 or 5 inches taller even than the tallest one of us. He could post down all of us at once most likely.

I don't think they'd score like 20 straight points, but they'd win.

Ev pointed out to me that I "pulled a [Walt]" by not posting my own answer.

The LeBrons would probably take us. Let's look at our roster:

Walt, Ev, Daffy, Joey, MMG, Hall, Side Bar, Open Bar, LJT and ChuckJerry.

Who would our starting 5 even be? Some of us are way out of shape, I can barely run with my gimpy knee (and am out of shape), and some of us don't even play much basketball.

Our strategy would be to camp somebody out at our offensive end, wait for LeBron to score just about every time, and then throw a full court pass. LeBron would instruct two of the kids to wait near our designated lay-up maker, so each full court transition would have to be perfect before LeBron could get back.

I don't see how LeBron wouldn't score just about everytime. He'd literally run us over, dribble around our whole team, and dunk or get fouled every time.

On a related note, if we were playing almost any other NBA player with the exception of maybe 10 guys, I think we'd probably win this game.
