Ineptitude / Irony of my school district

Read this letter I received this morning (Wednesday, May 12th, 2010) in my mailbox:

And we wonder why we are not performing well!

Ok. What am I missing? Do you think your district should have acted sooner prior to receiving external oversight?

Evan: It took me a minute too -- Max received the letter the day *after* RSVPs were required (and the day of the meeting).

I thought it was because he didn't consider the environment before printing the fax

Exactly, Joe. The irony of this cannot be lost.

At the end of the day on May 12, the principal came on the P.A. during the last period of the day and quickly announced... "Uhh... to our teaching staff... the meeting for May 12th will be postponed until May 18th".

To paraphrase Frank Grimes from the Simpsons' episode, "If [my school] lived in any other country in the world we'd be bankrupt by now!"

And Joe, who's Max? Don't you mean Walt? ;)
